RECIPE PREPARATION Hazelnut and ginger cubes (Ingwer Nuss Würfel):

Cut the ginger very small and put aside a spoon for decoration. From the rest of the quantity, together with 60 g of sugar, flour, butter, hazelnuts, knead a dough which we then spread in a 1.5 cm thick sheet, and, in this form, possibly cut in two, to be transported more easy, keep it in the fridge for an hour. Cut cubes of about 2 cm on each side, and bake them on the second bottom rail of the oven, at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until the edges turn golden. After they cool, grease them with a icing made from the remaining powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of lime or lemon juice. We put a piece of candied ginger on each one.
